Life-Saving Backup

This week's newsletter and Bible study comes to you from DC and VA where we're ministering to our own at the RISE Christian Law Enforcement Conference and National Police Week. I'm posting lots of pics on Facebook and I'll share more in next week's newsletter. Special thanks go to Travis Yates and Tony Miano for this week's devo/Bible study: Life-Saving Backup. Don't forget to pass it on.

Created for God's Glory and Purpose

I hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend (even if a bunch of us were working -- aka "LABOR":) as we move closer to my favorite time of year here in Colorado (Fall -- yes Lord!). As usual, this week's Centurion Law Enforcement Ministry/FCPO newsletter and Bible study has gone out to our email subscribers (FREE) and now posted here as well. Please take a few minutes read, apply and then pass it on to others. Also some important prayer requests (the prayer requests are ALWAYS important) as well. Just click on "Created for God's Purpose."

Please know that Diana and I are here for you guys!

Blessings.

Freedom Isn't Free -- Happy Independence Day!

My annual Independence Day newsletter/greeting has gone out to our worldwide subscribers but here it is again as well: click on  Freedom Isn't Free.  Police Officer-turned-evangelist Tony Miano can attest to this personally this week -- he was arrested in England for preaching the Gospel and the truth of God's inerrant Word.  Don't think that can happen here?  It's coming folks -- don't take your liberty for granted!

That said, I'd like to once again post a link to Pastor Eric Ludy's outstanding short (6 minutes) video, The Ancient War Cry.  Be inspired and get back in the fight!

PRAYER REQUEST:   On this 4th of July, please pray for the families and colleagues of our 19 firefighting brethren killed defending the town of Yarnell (AZ) from a raging wildfire.  Pray also for the lone survivor who is now fighting for his life after being burned over 75 percent of his body.

Let's stay vigilant in Christ!

Rodney King, the Bible and You

This week's newsletter and devotional is up!  Just click on "Rodney King, the Bible and You" for the latest news, announcements and a great new devotional adapted from Sgt. Chuck Gilliland's excellent law enforcement Bible study book, The Gospel of Matthew Through the Eyes of a Cop.  Check it out -- and pass it on.

Secondly, take a moment to pray for the folks/requests below (may be updated -- please check back).

PRAYER REQUESTS     (updated 1/18/2013)

(1) I ask that you pray for Tony Miano (Ten-Four Ministries founder) during his mission trip to Norway and an incredibly grueling teaching/preaching schedule.  See  http://www.crossencounters.us/ for more.

(2) Please pray for a colleague on the Western Slope of Colorado who sustained a severe knee injury AND now the discovery of a lump on her breast (the latest in a series of cancer-related issues).  She is facing surgery for both and has no more leave.  Prayers sought and appreciated.

(3) Pray for a Michigan deputy who was seriously injured in a foot chase and is facing more surgery and a tough recovery (see Kent County Deputy Injured ).

(4) Please pray for Atlanta PD Ofc. Reggie Robinson who remains in IT after he was shot in the face last Friday night.

(5) Scott Chamberlain in Oregon writes, "I have an officer in Beaverton, Matt Henderson, and his wife, Tera that covet your prayers.  Tera is pregnant with twin boys and is due on May 15th. Problem is, she just went into labor - 4 months early.  This is a very challenging time for them. Please let's lift them up with prayer.

If you have any words of encouragement, you may forward them to our brother Lt. Tom McGranahan at Beaverton Police Department (Oregon) who can then forward them onto Matt.
Tom can be emailed at tmcgranahan@beavertonoregon.gov

A Cop's Day in Court: Newsletter and Devotion for Week of April 22, 2012

This week's newsletter is "up" and full of news, a recap of last week's study that you can use/adapt for your own devotions, national news and much, much more.  Instead of taking up valuable "cyber space", our association with Constant Contact now allows me to simply post a link to the newsletter that provides full access to everything I include with it.   Accordingly, simply click on A Cop's Day in Court and check it out.
