Late-Breaking Prayer Requests

*See following posts below for additional...

UPDATED Sunday, 4/12/13

** Please continue to pray for CSP Trooper Edward "Eddie" Taylor and the famlies (click on "Eddie qumi -- Eddie arise!").  Eddie's dad is also our pastor.

** Pray for my good friend and former partner in NM (DPS/SID) -- Todd G. -- who will have surgery on his neck tomorrow.  As God to guide the surgeon's hand, wisdom for the medical team, and a rapid and full recovery for Todd.

** The following prayer request has been received from Queensland,  Australia:
Inspector David Stevenson  (47 years) , died of a suspected heart attack at work last week. Please pray for Dave’s wife Carren and his two teenage children.

** An officer IL sends the following:  "Last Thursday, members of the Chicago Ridge Police (IL)  Department were dispatched to a Trash Recycling plant for what appeared to be a deceased male infant.  Please pray for the officers who were involved.  The Police Department has named the baby Jeremiah Michael and will be working with an organization "Resting in His Arms" who will assist the Police Department in ensuring a proper burial for Jeremiah.    The medical examiner does not think they have anything to ID the mother.  Baby was not full term but could have survived with medical attention.

** Pray for a chief's mom who is in the final stages of her fight with cancer.  Pray for the family as well.  Mark assures me that his mother knows Christ as Savior.

** Pray for those representing the various Christian law enforcement ministries being represented during National Police Week in D.C. -- that many seeds will be planted in our lost and hurting profession and that many will say "yes" to Christ.

** Pray for the many officers who do not know Christ as Savior and Lord will repent and believe, and that we will have a "Code 3" sense of urgency in sharing God's plan of salvation with our own in the mission field that is law enforcement.

This week's Centurion Law Enforcement Ministry and FCPO newsletter and devotional has gone out via email to our worldwide readership but here it is again:  just click on "Retreat."  Secondly, please join us in praying for the following:

Updated 05/02/13

-- Please continue to pray for Colorado State Patrol Trooper  Edward "Eddie" Taylor who sufferred a heart attack this weekend and is in very critical condition.  His cardiologist is a Christian and Eddie is surrounded by his family, friends and loved ones.  Pray also for his family, including but by no means limited to his father and my pastor, Ed Taylor, his mother Marie, wife Rachel, baby son Levi and many more.

-- Pray for the family and colleagues of Littleton (CO) PD Officer Kevin Denner who was struck and killed by a drunk driver whilst he was en route to court.  LPD is pushing to have Kevin's death ruled as being "on-duty."  One of Kevin's good friends also lost his father...extra prayers please.

-- Pray for the colleagues and family of a deputy in the Georgia who took his own life (not saying which agency -- God knows the details -- just pray).

-- Praise report!  Fellow FCPO National Board member and police chief Sean Wallace gave a great message in Texas on Sunday.  Thanks to all who prayed for him in this endeavor.

-- Scott Chamberlain writes,
"Due to the death of a friend (colon cancer) and attending his memorial as an honorary pall bearer and ministering with the family, I have to cancel Tuesday night May 7th.  Dan's wife, Cindi is a former Mrs. Oregon and also has stage 4 cancer. She is challenged by the death of her husband and being sick from radiation treatments.  If you think about us on Tuesday, lift a prayer of thanksgiving and a prayer for continued strength.  God is real good.  Dan was a believer as is Cindi."
