Breaching the Barricade
We had a tiring but thoroughly uplifting time of iron sharpens iron fellowship and ministry at the Breaching the Barricade Conference and National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day events in Indiana last weekend (and what an outstanding job by fellow servant-warrior Jim Bontrager). Accordingly, the Holy Spirit prompted me to write on what it means to "breach" a "barricade" from both a tactical military/law enforcement) and spiritual point of view. While the newsletter/Bible study went out yesterday to our email subscribers (FREE) and on Facebook, here it is again in this format as well: Breaching the Barricade. Finally, I posted a bunch of pics from the events on my Facebook page (search "Romans Thirteenfour" -- my "UC" name on FB in order to comply with agency concerns -- and send me a "friend" request).
Finally, two quick prayer requests (in addition to those in the newsletter):
(1) Please pray for cop-turned-chaplain Frank Ruffatto of Peace Officer Ministries (POM) and his family. Frank lost his bride Terri to cancer this morning and the kids lost a mother (etc.).
(2) Pray for my fellow FCPO board members, myself, and all those traveling to the FCPO conference next week: wisdom for us as a board, safety for those coming, God's touch on the speakers, and open hearts to the messages.
Blessings!
