Update on Wounded Officers plus Benefit BBQ Reminder
This update includes some awesome news on our two wounded brethren (thanks to Centurion LE Fellowship member and Englewood PD Officer Jason Pearson for letting me know this morning).
Jason writes, "Yesterday, Chris Dewey SPOKE a word and was able to EAT actual food BY MOUTH! Folks, this is a cop who as recently as two weeks ago was diagnosed as someone who would NEVER communicate, let alone eat by mouth or anything else!
As for Densey Cole, an entire group of Chicago cops arrived Weds. to hang out for the weekend and help with the fundraiser tomorrow. They got their "Mile High headaches" (altitude issues) right away and began downing bottled water pretty quickly! Please make sure to welcome them to Denver if you attend tomorrow.
Thank you again to Heather Woods at Westminster P.D. for her help in getting the Chicago cops out here."
We serve an awesome God! Let's thank Him while continuing to ask for progress and healing for both Chris and Densey.
Chris's wife, Emily, also posts daily updates on their Caringbridge site: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/chrisdewey.
Finally (for this week anyway), don't forget the BBQ benefit for Chris and Densey starting at 1000 tomorrow morning. See the previous (below) entries on this website for further 411. If you are here, join us. If not, pray for us.
Stay Safe!
