National Day of Prayer & Church Safety Training Seminar

Fellow Sheepdogs:

I'll put out the newsletter Wednesday night but wanted to shoot out a quick reminder about this Thursday's meeting. I was notified by a fellow LEO that, while I had the day right (Thursday, May 7th), I inadvertently gave the wrong date in last week's newsletter -- now dutifully corrected:). We'll go from 6:30-7:30 PM at our usual location: Calvary South Denver, 9052 W. Ken Caryl in Littleton.

While I'll have more in the newsletter, Thursday is the National Day of Prayer and our fellowship time will consist of just that: a time of prayer for our country, our profession and each other; an opportunity to share your testimony if you feel inclined; ministry issues; and whatever else you feel is relevant. Hope you can join us.

TRAINING ANNOUNCEMENT:
The Monument (CO) Police Department is hosting a FREE 3-hour training seminar on church safety and security that I STRONGLY encourage all armed LEOs to attend.

In order to assist in keeping our communities and congregations safe, all ushers, greeters, church staff, and interested parties are invited to attend a free workshop sponsored by the Monument Police Department, on church safety and security. Immediate applicable ideas will be suggested and a packet of information will be received that can be shared with church staff.
Date: Saturday, May 23, 2009
Time: 9:00 am – noon
Place: The church located at 950 Highway 105, Monument
RSVP Irene at 719-481-3253 or
