Late Breaking Prayer Requests and Update

Fellow Paladins:

I needed to get out a couple of quick late breaking prayer requests and provide an update on Tayler.

(1) Regarding Tayler Ellison *(correct name), the cancer-striken 4 y.o. daughter of Englewood (CO) Officer Shane Ellision: fellow EPD Officer Jason Pearson, who is also the director the Denver Metro Area Graffiti Task Force, has advised that MAGTF is selling brain cancer awareness pins for $2.50 each. All proceeds are going to the Ellison family. Contact Jason at pruvit@hotmail.com or www.magtfdenver.org for more information.

As per my previous post, Tayler's supporters are also putting together a cookbook of recipes and Tayler's drawings as a fundraiser for this family who will have many expenses with treatment, co-pays, gas, etc. They are looking for recipes from different police agencies (wives, cops, dispatchers, etc.). Send recipes and information requests to Sandra Atkinson at tedpajamas@comcast.net and be sure to put your name and department on the recipe so they can include it in the book. They will also let you know when these books will be for sale. Most importantly, please keep this child in your prayers.

(2) San Bernadino (CA) County Sheriff's Deputy Mark James sends this prayer request: "Andy Mathews, also a SBCSO Deputy, works in the city of Rancho Cucamunga on a motor. Andy was diagnosed with Cancer early last year and has been fighting hard. He is only 32 years old and the Doctors gave him 5 days to live. Well today is the 5th day.Up untill a month ago we all thought he was going to beat this and he was planning to be back on a motor by March. About a month ago he took a turn for the worse, and his liver is gone.I'm heading down to his home today, to make sure he has acceped Christ as his savior. I need your prayers for both of us. I don't know how receptive his family is, or what their beliefs are. Thanks M. James."

Let's ask God to heal our brother and to pour out His Spirit on Mark as he shares the Gospel with Andy.

(3) Denver PD Officer Rob Parks sends the following prayer request reference his wife Angela and their family: "Please keep Angela and our family in prayer over the next week or so as we have had a relatively devastating week. We learned that her father (great guy, and a very honorable man) was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer. He under went surgery to remove the mass this past Saturday, but it has been determined that the cancer has spread into his lymph nodes. On top of that, we woke up this morning to find out that Angela’s grandmother died last night from ongoing heart problems. Angela will be traveling out of state tomorrow at dawn to attend the funeral and help pack up her grandmother’s things. I will be here in Denver with the boys. That will also present some interesting child care issues with my work."

Rob and Angela have three young boys. This family are strong in Christ and covet our prayers and support.

I'll have more in this week's newsletter due out on Wednesday but wanted to get these out right away.

Stay Safe!
