Get off the FENCE!

In this day of political correctness (oxymoronic at best) and demands for “tolerance” in all things EXCEPT towards those committed to living from a Biblical world view, way too many of us who already know Christ as Savior are riding the proverbial "fence." This week (0900-1000, October 11th, Calvary South Denver in Littleton ) we’ll explore that very topic as it relates to the Christian law enforcement officer. Are YOU on the “fence?” Do you even know? I heard that JeffCo Dep. Art Briles did a great job teaching last Saturday. His study centered on how the badge we wear relates to the Biblical cop’s shield. Great stuff and I hope to have his study notes for next week’s newsletter.

TCM APPAREL

As per previous posts, our gear (shirts, hoodies and a limited number of polos) are IN and FREE to law enforcement personnel. Just a couple of rules: (1) one each please, and (2) LOCALS must attend a study to get them (I will also mail shirts on a limited basis to our out-of-area partners). Let me know in advance (size, black or blue color). Supply is limited so get yours while they last!

Very disturbing stuff!

PRAYER REQUESTS (as always, send me your prayer requests or, better yet, come join us on Saturday so we can pray for and with you).

Given all our issues ( economy, candidates, etc.), please be “on your knees” for our country and those who lead/will be leading us. This week’s scripture is John 16:33. Pray that the man of God’s choice would be given wisdom and ability from the Lord to overcome all obstacles/difficulties during the campaign.
2 Chronicles 7:14: "If my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

(1) Pray for The Centurion Ministry (TCM) as we branch out of our “comfort zone.” The Holy Spirit and my brother officers are encouraging me to move our studies around to other locales in the Metro area from time-to-time so as to bring in officers who might not otherwise want to make the drive out to Littleton .
(2) A fellow investigator is trying to sell his house and relocate back to California . Pray for God’s will to be manifested in this process (house sale, job, etc.).
(3) A local sheriff’s deputy is seeking to remain in his current assignment instead of being transferred out and a number of things need to happen before this can occur. Please be in prayer for him (especially that God’s plan for this brother be made perfectly clear).
(4) A fellow LEO (investigator) is typically “on call” on Sunday and routinely get’s paged out while attending church. Please pray that God will intervene and allow this peace officer to make it through a service and have time to fellowship with other believers.
(5) Pray that Chief Deputy DA Sean May’s killer be found and that justice will prevail. Continue to pray for his family and colleagues as well (see newsletter entry from Friday, Oct. 3rd on http://www.thecenturionlawenforcementministry.org/ for more).
