PRAYER REQUESTS (Additional requests at the updated Jan. 6th post below)

** Pray for an officer's wife who will be having surgery on Monday, Jan. 23rd. UPDATE: She came through the surgery well and is has been released to go home (praise God). They covet your prayers for a rapid and complete recovery.

** Officer Joseph Rodarte writes, "Asking for prayers in my father's continued battle against skin cancer. Recent procedures have slowed matters and the Doctors have been on top of it, but we still have two areas of concern. I trust God and His plan."

** Our brothes in Illinois are in need of prayer ref. the incident detailed here (biased media story and comments are very inflammatory): www.dailyherald.com/article/20120117/news/701179845/

** Dave "Buck Savage" Smith sends the following via his FB page: "PLEASE say an extra prayer for a successful outcome for Cloverdale, IN Officer Charlie Hallam as he has hand surgery today, tendon damage to his strong hand thumb. Prayers for Charlie and his surgeons!!!"

** Several Colorado State Patrol cadets are currently hospitalized suffering from kidney failure and other issues stemming from extreme physical exertion. One is the son of a CO police chief. These brothers need our prayers and support. Retired DPD Officer/current CSP Chaplain Jim Wattles is at the hospital now and and I plan on visiting later today or tomorrow (as soon as I can get by). Please pray.

** Be in prayer for retired Denver PD Officer/current DPD Chaplain Manny Hays, CSP Chaplain Bob O'Fee and others as they are on a mission trip to Mexico to build an addition on a church/school there. They also have plans to provide indoor plumbing facilities for a family while they are there. They return on January 26th. Please pray that God uses these men in a mighty way and that He uses their physical abilities in this mission, but also their spiritual abilities, as they share with the local people and children of the area. Pray to keep them safe and healthy and pray for the families they have left behind.

** Pray for Dep. Art Briles as he ministers to/cares for his folks who are experienceing medical and other problems that come with aging. Art writes, "Please keep us in prayer as we/I strive to honor my parents and display to them a Christian life. My mother is not doing well between the eye problems and the mitochondria myopia she is having a lot of problems and my father is having to be her full time care-giver."
