New Prayer Requests and Local Meeting Schedule Update
See the Dec. 5th post for more...and check back frequently.
UPDATED 1/22/2011
PRAYER REQUESTS:
** TPDs Cpt. Travis Yates' son has been injured in an accident and is in the hospital. Travis said that it could have been much worse (busted spleen) so praise God for that. Let's keep him in prayer.
** Pray for a deputy who is dealing with some very serious back issues -- facing possible surgery this week. Pray for healing and wisdom/skill of the doctors and staff.
** Pray for two CSP troopers who are facing some very daunting charges pursuant to an incident on the Western Slope. Pray that truth, justice and mercy will prevail.
** Pray for a colleague's mother who will undergo total knee replacement surgery on the 20th.
** A colleague in Chicago writes, "Please pray for a local Chicago suburban police department – there is an on-going death investigation for one of their officers who was found dead in his squad car – current reports indicate that the officer died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. " Let's be in prayer for this officer's family and colleagues -- and then step out with a renewed sense of urgency about sharing Christ and coming alongside our brother/sister warriors BEFORE one of them takes such a step.
** Praise Report! Sgt. Todd Griffin in NM writes, "Michelle's dad made it safely through quad bypass heart surgery and is doing well. Thanks for all the prayers and support, and keep praying that Mike has a quick and complete recovery! ;)"
** Pray for an officer who injured his back in a LOD incident. He's in a great deal of pain with an as yet to be determined prognosis.
** Retired Arapahoe County SO Dep. Roy Hood's father-in-law is in the hospital with a serious, life-threatening medical issues.
** The men and women of the Camden (NJ) PD need prayer as many are turning in their weapons and badges in the first round of layoffs. See http://www.lawofficer.com/article/news/camden-layoffs-begin-officer-t. Incredibly poor decision to say the least.
** Continue to pray for little Elizabeth Jetton, daughter of Chattanooga PD Ofc. Sheila Jetton. Elizabeth is awaiting a lung transplant in Texas. Both this little warrior and her parents need an abundance of prayer (but we serve a mighty God who remains on the throne). You can leave a note of support on their CaringBridge site: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/elizabethjetton/.
