New/Updated Prayer Requests and FCPO-Denver Meeting Schedule

PRAYER REQUESTS (As always, feel free to send me your requests and I'll post them here as appropriate -- and we'll pray for you regardless. Check back frequently...):

-- Little Elizabeth Jetton and her law enforcement parents are once again in need of your prayers. Please go to http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/elizabethjetton/journal and leave a note of encouragement for this family.

-- Trooper Ivan "Gene" Lawyer continues to need your prayers and support. Please see my Nov. 4th post for details and how you can be of assistance to Gene and his family. They deep in the midst of a cop's worst nightmare...

-- Pray for a sergeant who is battling a rather severe duty-related foot/leg injury. He has been out of work for many months now (vacation and sick leave long ago depleted) and is dealing with a difficult workman's comp issue. His return has now been pushed back yet another month.

-- Pray for two (2) officers recovering from shoulder injuries.

-- Please continue to pray for Angie Hays, wife of retired Denver PD Ofc. Manny Hays (Manny is now a pastor and DPD chaplain). But for God's intervention and a potential transplant (she's on the list), Angie faces a very tough diagnoses concerning her liver cancer.

-- Pray for an officer (Louie) who recently lost his spouse after a long illness. Louie needs prayer for both his salvation and the pain that comes with a loss of this magnitude.

-- Pray for a Canadian officer who is facing sentencing after a very questionable trial. Keep his family in prayer as well...this has been a very trying time in the lives of all involved.

-- Pray for the family and colleagues of Green County (GA) S.O. Chief Deputy Kevin Roberts who was shot and killed by a convicted felon who came to his home Sunday morning (see http://policelink.monster.com/news/articles/147492-chief-deputy-shot-killed-in-own-home-by-suicidal-felon for the story and to leave your condolences). Let's stay vigilant folks -- and yes, especially at home!


Updated MEETING SCHEDULE (check back frequently for any changes):

-- Thursday, November 18th, 7-8:30 PM, Calvary South Denver on Ken Caryl in Littleton (High School Room). I'll be teaching a very special, profession-relevant message...please join us for a great time of worship, Bible study, prayer and warrior-fellowship. Spouses are always welcome and encouraged to attend.

-- Nov. 25 (Thanksgiving) -- NO MEETING

-- Thursday, December 2nd: Same time/place as the 18th above.
