Latest Updates on Wounded Officers
I received the following update on Jefferson County Investigator Art Peterson from DPD Det. Lietz. In addition, I've learned that Englewood Officer Jason Pearson is doing much better: back on light duty and undergoing physical therapy. It would also appear that his agency will be standing behind him (rightly so but Praise God for answered prayer).
I've also recieved a new prayer request from an officer who is undergoing treatment for skin cancer.
Finally, we will be seeing Chicago PD Ofc. Densey Cole and Mahnomen County (MN) Dep. Chris Dewey at Craig Hospital later this week. Reference Chris, we've learned that his doc's prognosis for the future was not particularly bright. That said, we serve a MIGHTY God who, in accordance with His will, can make "all things new again."
From Det. Leitz:
"I just visited with Art for about three minutes. He is looking great compared to Friday. He is in good spirits cracking a joke or two. It is hard to keep Art down. He is pretty banged up and he said a doctor is going to come to talk skin graphs so you guys can image his shape. He said the neck surgery went good and he was turning his head without any trouble..."
Here's the "411" on sending Art emails through Swedish: http://www.swedishhospital.com and click on the "Patient and Visitor Resources" button followed by the "Email a patient at Swedish Medical Center" button.
Please continue to lift our wounded brethren and their spouses/families in prayer. Hope to see everyone on Thursday!
