Col. Grossman to Speak in Pueblo + Emergency Prayer Requests

Dear Brother and Sister LEOs:

We've had some late-breaking prayer requests and announcements that I felt led to get out before next week's newsletter.

(1) I've learned that Lt. Col. Dave Grossman (!!) will be speaking at Praise Assembly of God church in Pueblo on January 21st and 22nd (pick your day)! EMAIL ME FOR THE ANNOUNCEMENT FORM for this FREE event as the deadline is on or before January 14th. Kudos to Pueblo PD for hosting this special event -- at a church no less (wow)! Dave is a Believer and incredible speaker who has a powerful "not to be missed" message for ALL LEOs (whether or not they know Christ as Savior). That said, please make your reservations AND invite a fellow officer to attend -- including supervisors!

(2) Speaking of LE leaders, I've learned that an Aurora (CO) PD supervisor underwent successful heart surgery this week and is recovering at home. While I plan to see him later next week, please be in prayer for a complete and rapid recovery. God has already been moving on his behalf and that of his family (Thank you Jesus!) and I feel led to say that our Lord has some very important godly work for this brother to do in terms of being a true servant-leader for those in his charge.

(3) We've received a prayer request for Colorado State Patrol Trooper Kirk Firko who was seriously injured in a crash with an alleged drunk driver last night. Kirk is expected to recover but may face surgery and other complications along the way.

(4) Please pray (protection, support, etc.) for those who will be standing up for Israel at rallies being held around the country (including one here on the steps of the state capitol tomorrow at 1400). Please keep Israel in your prayers as well: Hamas is continuing to lob rockets at civilian targets in Israel and then hiding behind innocent civilians in Gaza. See Joel Rosenberg's blog and posts for more: http://www.joelrosenberg.com/. LEOs need to insure that we do our duty to fully protect those standing peacefully for Israel.

(5) Tim Gindro has asked me to make an announcement for retired officers and those who have some extra time with a heart to mentor at-risk youth. Tim can be reached at 303-910-9700 or timmgindro@yahoo.com. There will be a organizational meeting starting at 1800 on Monday so please get in touch with Tim for details. You can also check out http://www.ridgeviewacademy.com/ and http://www.friendsforyouth.com/ for further information.

(6) We had a "thank you" from a sister reference a struggling NJ cop who has been benefiting from our prayers and ministry. "Thank You Lord!"

(7) PRAISE REPORT!! Praise God -- Erv Meyer has made an incredible recovery and felt well enough to attend our study/men's prayer breakfast this morning. Thanks for all those who have been/are praying for this dear brother and LE supporter.

I'll have much more in next Wednesday's newsletter. Stay Strong in Christ!
